Humility

Submission: Noun -the action or fact of accepting or yielding to a superior force or to the will or authority of another person. Humility :  freedom from pride or arrogance: the quality or state of being  humble. Psalm 25:9 (NIV) He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,  not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. When we don’t do things out of selfish ambition or vain conceit God guides us in what is right. If we consider others in our day-to-day lives, in decisions and actions God will guide us in what is right. If we not only look to our interest but also look out for others, God will guide us into what is right. Humility and submission are key in our walks with Christ.  James 4:10   (NIV): Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. When we put God’s desires ab

Seek Wisdom

Proverbs 8     (NIV) Wisdom’s Call 8  Does not wisdom call out?      Does not understanding raise her voice? 2  At the highest point along the way,      where the paths meet, she takes her stand; 3  beside the gate leading into the city,      at the entrance, she cries aloud: 4  “To you, O people, I call out;      I raise my voice to all mankind. 5  You who are simple, gain prudence;      you who are foolish, set your hearts on it. [ a ] 6  Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say;      I open my lips to speak what is right. 7  My mouth speaks what is true,      for my lips detest wickedness. 8  All the words of my mouth are just;      none of them is crooked or perverse. 9  To the discerning all of them are right;      they are upright to those who have found knowledge. 10  Choose my instruction instead of silver,      knowledge rather than choice gold, 11  for wisdom is more precious than rubies,      and nothing you desire can compare with her. 12

Stay In Your Lane

Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV) : Therefore, since such a great cloud of witnesses surrounds us, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  2  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Everybody is running a race; your own personal walks or journey with Christ. It is so easy to compare where we are in our personal journeys to others and end up frustrated and feeling that we are behind. I’ve heard this said many times; do not compare your chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 10. That statement is so true because doing that, is a recipe for disaster. A lot of us even while knowing this, we get caught up and comparing our lives to other people will only brin

Seek Him First

Matthew 6:33 King James Version (KJV)  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. right·eous·ness noun 1.      The quality of being morally right or justifiable. We were first introduced to many of the things in this world by the world or by our family parents or friends. So when we become a Christian and start to follow Christ, our minds need to be renewed. He needs to change our perspectives so we can see things from His perspective and understand and look at things through the eyes of faith and not doubt and fear. We need to look at people through His eyes and love them through His love. Understand success from His perspective and point of view. This is why we need to seek Him first, His kingdom, and His righteousness. We all understand the concept of God first and putting Him first in our lives but for the first time, I'm looking deeper into this verse. Meditating is helping me to understand that y
