Do Your Part -Serve and Honor Anyway

One of the hardest things to do as a Christian is to honor and serve faithfully when the person we are serving or called to support is not appreciative of our support. We can easily get discouraged and want to walk away, blow up, act out of character, and completely mishandle the situation. We struggle and get frustrated all the while God’s not saying its time to go. What do you do? How do you endure? How do you stay and listen to that small voice telling you to remain in God’s will? The Word says in Galatians 6:9 (KJV ): “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.” There’s a promise if we endure. The key is to seek God for strength and guidance. Trust me you don’t want to leave too soon. It's not easy but we have to be led by the Holy Spirit. There are so many different scenarios. Some situations might be easier than others but the lesson is to do your part. At work focus on working as unto God, and treat people like Jesus treats you...

I Know What You Need

Sometimes frustration can pull you in so many different directions. You can find yourself looking for comfort in so many things and some days the usual just doesn’t do it. There are times I find myself so restless, annoyed and nothing does it for me. Watching one of my favorite YouTubers, a movie, reading a book, or just talking to friends. I just jump from activity to activity and nothing can ease my mood or frustration. As a Christian, this may sound cliché to some, but whether we want to admit it or not, you need God. You need quiet and uninterrupted time in His presence. The crazy part is it’s such a struggle getting there!! Sometimes watching our favorite shows, spending, time on social media, or even spending time with our loved ones is what we resort to. All the while in that frustration, emptiness, and sadness, Jesus is tugging at your heart saying “I have what you need.” Now I’m speaking from experience and granted some of us are better at this than others.
