Seek Him First

Matthew 6:33 King James Version (KJV)  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. right·eous·ness noun 1.      The quality of being morally right or justifiable. We were first introduced to many of the things in this world by the world or by our family parents or friends. So when we become a Christian and start to follow Christ, our minds need to be renewed. He needs to change our perspectives so we can see things from His perspective and understand and look at things through the eyes of faith and not doubt and fear. We need to look at people through His eyes and love them through His love. Understand success from His perspective and point of view. This is why we need to seek Him first, His kingdom, and His righteousness. We all understand the concept of God first and putting Him first in our lives but for the first time, I'm looking deeper into this verse. Meditating is helping me ...

Do Your Part -Serve and Honor Anyway

One of the hardest things to do as a Christian is to honor and serve faithfully when the person we are serving or called to support is not appreciative of our support. We can easily get discouraged and want to walk away, blow up, act out of character, and completely mishandle the situation. We struggle and get frustrated all the while God’s not saying its time to go. What do you do? How do you endure? How do you stay and listen to that small voice telling you to remain in God’s will? The key is to seek God for strength and guidance. Trust me you don’t want to leave too soon. It's not easy but we have to be led by the Holy Spirit. There are so many different scenarios. Some situations might be easier than others but the lesson is to do your part. At work focus on working as unto God, and treat people like Jesus treats you...

I Know What You Need

Sometimes frustration can pull you in so many different directions. You can find yourself looking for comfort in so many things and some days the usual just doesn’t do it. There are times I find myself so restless, annoyed and nothing does it for me. Watching one of my favorite YouTubers, a movie, reading a book, or just talking to friends. I just jump from activity to activity and nothing can ease my mood or frustration. As a Christian, this may sound cliché to some, but whether we want to admit it or not, you need God. You need quiet and uninterrupted time in His presence. The crazy part is it’s such a struggle getting there!! Sometimes watching our favorite shows, spending, time on social media, or even spending time with our loved ones is what we resort to. All the while in that frustration, emptiness, and sadness, Jesus is tugging at your heart saying “I have what you need.” Now I’m speaking from experience and granted some of us are better at this than others. I have to conf...
